3B Second Year CSPE Class Host A Western Alzheimer’s Talk

On the 3rd of February, the class of 3B hosted a talk given by Noel Higgins of Western Alzheimers. According to Irla Quinn and Nicola Cleary the class learned a great deal about the amount of people in Connacht with Alzheimer’s  and that €100 can supply 10 hours of care for someone with Alzheimer’s and the condition is incurable.

Following the talk the students held a cake sale and raised  €100 which they presented to Noel Higgins, some of the students are also organising a follow on visit to the Center which is located here in Tuam.
