ALLEZ LES BLEUS! Language Day 2017 at The Pres

ALLEZ LES BLEUS!

Language Day 2017 at The Pres was yet another huge success where all language students got the chance to flex their linguistic muscles and join in a day of fun in French and German!
The day kicked off with a 10 round table quiz, which encouraged all 1st, 2nd, TY and 5th Year students to join forces and put their wits against each other  in teams of six, covering a variety of topics from French/German culture and language to art, history and science.
Our champions this year were Ruby Mahon, Megan McCabe, Toma Cesiunaite, Claire McGill, Aislibg Dowd and Casey O’Grady. Félicitations les filles !
Next up, all students lined up to create a number snake in a variety of languages, with the promise of a sweet treat for sequencing numbers properly.
The last event of the morning was an obstacle course where France went head-to-head against Germany, displaying a range of skills and finishing with a tie-break fancy dress challenge. Heureusement, France won.  Ms Casey and Ms Lohan were super impressed that the frenchies reigned supreme- sorry Ms Heffernan!!
The afternoon was filled with fun and laughter with  French plays performed by a French theatre group for French students and a German film for German students.
All in all, a fabulous day was had by all!
