The school was delighted and honoured to host Elma Walsh the mother of the late Donal Walsh who gave an inspiring and motivational talk to both students, teachers and parents.
Donal Walsh, the Kerry teenager who touched so many lives through his writings and anti-suicide message on the Brendan O’Connor’s ‘The Saturday Night Show’, when he called to his peers to live life to the fullest.
Donal’s parents have established the #Livelife Foundation to continue to promote Donal’s anti-suicide message and raise funds to provide age appropriate teenage facilities in hospital and hospice centres.
The ethos of Donal’s message is, if you are near that dark place then do not choose it as an option but ask for help from wherever it is available.
