2nd year student’s have their hand embroidered art work on display in Tuam Library. The exhibition was hung by their art teacher Miss Ryan and is officially open! Their embroidery hoops were inspired by their environment and feature hand stitched images of their pets and favourite hobbies to name a few. This project is part of their Classroom Based Assessment and part of the brief was to create a piece of embroidery using 4 stitches and the elements of art (line, colour, shape, value, texture, form and tone).
Well done to everyone who completed a piece of textile art. Students will visit the exhibition after Easter and write a reflection on their experience.
