Leaving Cert Geography Trip to the Burren
Leaving Cert Geography Trip to the Burren!

On Friday October 7th the Leaving Cert Geography class had a great day out at the Burren getting the information for their field trip project.

Here they saw first-hand how limestone pavements are formed and how they are eroded.

The class took plenty of notes, asked lots of questions and ensured that they had all the information they required to complete their investigation.

For the field trip, the class went to the beautiful coastal area of Black Head where they worked on a limestone pavement recording all its features and their formation.

The girls all had a great day out and got to top off a brilliant day by stopping in Supermacs on the way home.

The class would like to thank the Burren Education Centre for their kindness and help in researching the topic. They would also like to thank two teachers in the school, Ms. Gurney and Ms. Devlin for bringing them on the trip and helping them complete their work during the day.
