Pres Currylea Book Club and Resource Department Secures €300 in Funds

Congratulations to the members of the Pres Currylea Book Club (PCBC), particularly students Laura Murphy (TY) and Claudia Ledesma (Second Year), for successfully competing and winning €300 from Youthbank Ireland in conjunction with Youth Work Ireland (Galway Branch).

The PCBC members were recently presented with the cheque worth €300 and afterwards enjoyed a party hosted by Bernie Conlon and the staff at the Family Resource Centre on the Dublin Road, Tuam.

The Book Club will buy a Kindle Reader to help students with visual impairments/ disabilities to read books and novels with ease, to facilitate their love for reading.  The club will also set up new library in the school. They intend to buy a range of books of all genres and a number of resources, such as games for students who avail of the school’s Resource Department.

Once again congratulations to all concerned!!
