Each year, we host a talent competition within our school called ‘Prez Got Talent’, and the proceeds we make are given to two worthy charities. This Year was no different…. Altogether we raised €1000, which was an amazing achievement. We gave €500 to the Cancer Care West and €500 to TrustTalk24/7

The Cancer Care West…
We chose this Charity because whether you’ve been diagnosed with cancer, or know someone who has been, they have a variety of practical and emotional services to help you. They will help you to deal with life during and after treatment. This is a disease that affects thousands of people in our country, and there are people who strive to find a cure for it and we wanted to help in any way we could.

trust Talk 247
This is a new charity that was founded by a young man in Tuam named Patrick Shaugnessy. He has developed an app that will hopefully raise awareness for the importance of Mental Health. This app is made up of positive quotes to set you on your day, and helpline numbers if you need it. As a group of young people we believe in the necessity of taking care of your mental health and we were delighted to raise money to help with an amazing new and local charity.
