The annual schools musical “Grease” is launched

Students at Presentation College, Currylea Tuam will be slicking back their hair, donning leather jackets and stepping back to the 1950’s for their annual school musical.
Students are staging a production of the hit film and musical “Grease”.
Auditions took place last May, and since the start of first term much rehearsing and planning has taken place to ensure that all involved on stage, back stage and in the orchestra will be ready to go when the curtain rises on November 21st.
The storyline is a familiar one – Good girl Sandy and Greaser Danny meet over the summer and unexpectedly discover they are now in the same high school. Will they rekindle their relationship?
Principal Neasa Cosgrove said;
“The cast and orchestra are putting in many long hours at lunchtime and after school and are really excited about performing in front of an audience on November 21st, 22nd and 23rd. The school is extremely lucky to have the talents of staff members, Una O Brien (Musical director), Clodagh Brennan (Choreographer) and Megan Lohan (Chorus mistress), not to mention the incredible talents of students involved”
At the official school launch of “Grease”, congratulations was extended to Jade Halion (3rd year) who designed the winning poster for this year’s production.
