On Tuesday 12th February, the TY’s went to the Renmore Barracks in Galway. They got a presentation about Gender Equality from some of the army members in the conference room. The female army members shared their stories about their careers and how there isn’t many females involved in the army.
They then went into the museum section of the Barracks, where they saw the uniforms required for the army throughout the years and much more.
Last but not least they were shown all of the arms and ammunition in a hall. They got to hold the guns and were shown how they were used (with no bullets of course!)
