Transition Year’s “A Walk through Time” exhibition is a must-see for History & Art Lovers

This year’s Transition Year students unveiled their exhibition, “A Walk through Time” at Tuam Library on Thursday, 21st of April. The exhibition is the school’s contribution to the 1916 Commemorations.

The students chose ten major Historical events which have impacted on the life of Tuam town. The students researched these events and represented their work on eleven 8 X 10 painted boards. Each painting was accompanied by a representational flower arrangement.

A very large crowd attended the event, all of whom were astonished at the students’ creativity and artistic ability. The exhibition will remain on show at the Library for the next two weeks, until May 5th. The students are already considering invitations to ‘tour’ their work to other museums and art galleries.

This is a “must-see” installation for History and Art Lovers. It is inspirational for all of us to witness the exuberance of youth, as it interprets the past, and expresses that interpretation with skill and originality.

Tuam Library’s opening/closing times are:
Monday –  Closed
Tuesday – Saturday 10:30 – 13:00; 14:00 – 17:00
