Well done to our public speakers: Aoibheann Ryan, Lidia-Rose Murphy, Aoibhinn Ruane, Róisín Sice-Brogan, Caitlin Daly, and Zara Tracey, who competed at the Europe Direct Soapbox Public Speaking Competition last Friday in Ballinasloe.

They discussed the topic of “Likes, Lies, and Legal Limits – Is It Time the EU Banned Social Media for under-16s?” 

Very special congratulations go to TY student, Lidia-Rose Murphy, who was runner-up in the 16 and under category, winning herself a Europe Direct Soapbox Certificate and a €50 voucher for Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop!
