There’s great excitement surrounding our Junk Kouture entrants Roisin Fahy, Laura Flanagan and Emily Canney who have won a silver ticket. This ticket ensures that their costume gets straight through to Junk Kouture the regional final at the Royal Theatre Castlebar in March.
The girls were further surprised when they were presented with their precious Silver Ticket from the Bank of Ireland Junk Kouture team who presented them with their ticket, and then treated them to some vip treatment with a professional video shoot and a photoshoot by a renowned photographer.
According to their delighted teacher Joanne O’Hora, ‘Our students here at Presentation Currylea have be tirelessly designing, cutting, folding, constructing… and all in the name of Fashion. All the hard work the girls have been doing has not been been in vain’
Junk Kouture 2016. Now in its sixth year Irelands leading fashion and art competition for secondary schools challenges students to create unique, original and innovative outfits from recycled materials and junk.
Meanwhile we wish them all the very best of luck at the regional finals which take place on March 9.
