Presentation College Currylea Annual Awards

The end of Year Awards Ceremony took place in Presentation College Currylea, on the 19th  of May last. Students were awarded for their Sporting, Artistic, Musical and Cultural achievements in many fields outside of academic achievement.
The Sports Committee, the Student Council, the school magazine The Quill Committee, the Class Representatives, and The Art and Music departments were all acknowledged for their hard work, achievements and commitment over the past year.
Special awards were presented to players of the year in different sports, and the students of the year, who had been chosen by the students and staff.
Many students were awarded for their impeccable attendance record, and for others who had performed duties above and beyond what was required of them, whilst their behaviour and ethos had demonstrated the spirit of Currylea. Such as Danielle Fahy who won the Dervla Bane Memorial Award, and Jade Costello, Winner of the Natalie Higgins Memorial Award.
Winner of the Margaret Kelly Memorial Award for Student of the Year went to Ellen Byrne. Other awards were presented to Sports Players of the Year, with Ciara Ryan being awarded Sports Person of the year.
These awards acknowledge the wonderful accomplishments of the girls across the whole spectrum of areas both within the school and in the wider community.
Many thanks must be given to everyone involved for all their hard work and input in organizing the ceremony.
