Presentation College Tuam welcomed the victorious All Ireland Club champions, Corofin along with the Andy Merrigan cup to the school last Thursday. The students were addressed by Mr Michael Ryder Chairman of the club, while selector Trevor Burke and players Dylan Wall, Alan Burke and Kieran Fitzgerald posed for photographs with all the students.
Michael, Kieran and Alan have huge footballing links with the school. Michael’s daughters Emma and Lorraine won Connaught Medals at 1st year, Junior A and Senior A level. Alan’s sisters Aileen and Michelle won Connaught Senior medals with the school. Kieran’s sister Sheila won multiple titles with the school including an All-Ireland senior A medal in 2003. Indeed Kieran’s fiancée and star Galway player Emer Flaherty was captain of that team.
