Presentation College Tuam V Glenamaddy Community School played in Tuam Stadium on February 3rd. Final score Glenamaddy CS 1-11 Presentation College, Tuam 2-5

Pres Tuam started strongly with the opening score by Amy O’Donovan. The first half was a nip and tuck affair with Pres Tuam netting two great goals, both scored by Emily Donnelly. This half was hampered with a collision between two of our players, Kate Geraghty and Jemma Burke.
The second half stood up to what the crowd expected. Glenamaddy pulled ahead by six points at one stage, but the Pres Tuam girls showed their never say die attitude and fought until the final whistle. Many would say that if there was another two or three minutes, we may have snatched an equalizing goal. Congratulations also to Dearbhla Gower our Goalkeeper  on being awarded the Player of the Match award.

However it was not our day.
This team was led by joint captains Anne Kelly and Ciara Glynn, and both were ably assisted by their Leaving Cert colleagues Jemma Burke, Dervla Higgins and Chloe Crowe. For these girls it was their last game in a Pres Tuam jersey, which they wore over the past five/six years with pride. They have been fantastic ambassadors for their school and we wish them all the best with their future footballing and sporting careers.
