Transition Year’s debate philosophical issues at Trinity College

Fourteen Transition Year Students travelled to Dublin on Friday the 17th of January 2014, to take part in the Philosophical Society’s Mace Debates, which were held over two days.  Many schools from all over Ireland took part in this event, an enjoyable and enlightening weekend was had by all the students.

Senior School Debates commence in Currylea

Three of last years Leaving Certificate students Irene Santing, Emma Martyn and Lisa Kelly returned to Presentation College Currylea to adjudicate the Fifth Year Debating competition.  The competition commenced with the topic “No Social Media For Under 15’s”.  The winners were Niamh Traynor, Megan Power and Liza O’Regan.
