All Ireland Success for High Cross Athletes

Well done to all our athletes who took part in the All-Ireland Track and Field Finals in Tullamore last weekend.

Massive congratulations to our gold medalists!

1st Year Student Aoibheann O’Malley secured a gold medal in the minor high jump. Aoibheann achieved a personal best (PB) of 1.58m and also set a new championship record.

2nd Year Student Rachel Treacy achieved a joint 1st place in the 75m junior girls hurdles. This was also a personal best for Rachel, and she broke the national schools championship record!

Our Senior 4x300m Relay team — consisting of Aoibhinn Redington, Áine Maguire, Enya Mitchell, and Myah Gallagher — came in 3rd in their race, running a fabulous race throughout.

Additionally, well done to the following athletes for their strong performances:

Tegan Rooney who finished 5th in the junior race walk.
Tailte O’Callaghan who finished 5th in the intermediate race walk.
Ciara Gilmore who finished 4th in the senior race walk.
Niamh McWalter who finished 4th in the senior steeplechase.

Our junior relay team raced exceptionally but 2025 wasn’t their year! Roll on 2026 inter relay because they will be ones to watch
