Transition Years will do anything to save the bees!

A group of this year’s Transition Year students will attend the YSI Speak Out in Galway on Wednesday 2nd of March to present their project to Save the Bees.  Our students are going to be busy bees indeed, in an attempt to portray their message through song, dance and in fabulous style!

They have created outfits to embody not only our friends the bees, but also to represent their friends the trees, beekeepers, flowers and ladybirds. Niamh Daly has fashioned a stunning outfit to represent an enemy of the bees – a bottle of pesticide.

They are looking forward to a fun day out and, most importantly, to get the message across that Bees are an endangered species, and they play an essential role in nature. We must all remember “To Bee kind to the Bees and to help them prosper”

Our Transition Year students will be posting the key aspects of their project in coming weeks, and will be asking you all to take an active part in saving the bees.
